Iten, Kenya, Is Where Running Champions Are Made
Nestled six hours northwest of Nairobi, Kenya, sits the small town of Iten. At 8,000 feet above sea level, Iten is marked with lush vegetation and striped with Kenya’s iconic red clay roads. Running champions are made here, on the edge of the Rift Valley. Most runners come to Iten to elevate their running in training camps with a desire to compete in the world’s...
Jacuzzi, Kensington
If you've been to Gloria, or Circo Popular, or Ave Mario, you'll know the drill by now. Big Mamma group restaurants are ludicrous, overblown chintz-fests where decent if overpriced food plays second fiddle to people watching and celeb-spotting. Work has been crazy as my work wife has been off with work related stress after a particularly nasty vile attack off a family who she has bent over backwards in the last 16 years to support, help and accommodate. After leaving the building shouting their heads off, pointing, SWEARING ON THE CORRIDOR IN FRONT OF CLASSROOMS...
30 Days of Animal-Based Eating: My Journey to Vibrant Health
Have you ever considered trying an animal-based diet? Well, I recently jumped on board for a 30-day eating challenge and I am on day 28. Let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey so far. As someone who has experienced health challenges in the past, I have always been curious about alternative ways of eating. For 18 years, I was plant-based and dairy-free. I even had a large green smoothie every day for breakfast for 15 years. That’s why I decided to put meat back into my diet. It was a game-changer for me, as it restored vitality that...
