First recipe review and it a recipe from the those over at BudgetBytes! Lately I have been trying out recipes from there since they are cheap to make and if I screw up its not a major blow to the wallet.

Review
Ease of Preparation:
Hardest part was browning the meat and mincing the garlic. After that its just throw everything a bowl, pile it in the casserole dish, toss in a oven and wait impatiently.
Taste
Nothing really special in terms of taste, if we didn’t add the jalapeños it would have been on the bland side. It is a great base to work from though and easy to modify to your family’s taste.
Fridge Friendly
Did really well in the fridge and it actually improved in flavor after sitting for 24 hours.
Freezer Friendly
Sadly we didn’t freeze any to test. I suspect though it would do alright in a freezer since it is mostly rice.
Heat Level
With the addition of the jalapeños it brought the heat level up quite a bit. We used hot salsa which for us was fine, but those who are more heat sensitive would need a water truck on standby. With how flexible this recipe is though, you can easily modify it for any spice level.
