Hi Friends!
Here’s my weekly post sharing about what’s going on in the world of RecipeGirl, as well as some fun links to things I’ve come across lately. So here it goes: following are 10 things to share with you this week- everything from recipes to shopping to a few fun articles and more. There are a few affiliate links included here and there. Enjoy!
Let’s Grill Burgers!
- Bacon Bit Burgers with Gouda and Smothered Onions: The burger itself has cooked bacon, sautéed onion, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and steak seasoning mixed in. And then there are those delicious fixings to go with it!
- Veggie Burgers topped with a fabulous cilantro mayonnaise are a great choice for dinner tonight!
- Turkey Garden Burgers are an easy recipe for using up ground turkey. This one has some great flavors!
- These Teriyaki Burgers have a lot of flavor and they’re not your run-of-the-mill frozen disc that you throw on the grill with a hunk of cheese. You have to like pineapple to enjoy this one.
- Jucy Lucy Burgers are popular burgers that are a twist on the classic American cheeseburger.
- Here’s a delicious Greek-Style Turkey Burgers recipe complete with hummus, lettuce and tomato stuffed into pita bread.
Fun Shopping Finds:
- I love these cargo pants, and they come in a lot of colors!
- What an adorable summer romper. Love it.
- Look at the pretty sleeve detail on this top!
- This linen jumpsuit is perfect for summer.
- Here’s a good price for a cute swimsuit with good reviews.
- I have these pants, and I love them. Lots of different patterns and colors are offered.
- Cute crochet bag! This one is cute too (and cheaper).

What I’m watching and reading:
- I binge-watched Firefly Lane on Netflix. It’s kind of a chick flick series, so watch it without your partner around! Since we’re on the subject of chick flicks, I watched The Choice on Netflix (a Nicholas Sparks movie) and cried buckets. It was good LOL.
- I’m listening to the audiobook of Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. I know it’s a very popular book right now, and I’m enjoying it. From Amazon: An exquisite homage to Louisa May Alcott’s timeless classic, Little Women, Hello Beautiful is a profoundly moving portrait of what is possible when we choose to love someone not in spite of who they are, but because of it.
Fun Recipes I’ve spotted on the internet this week:
- Perfect Rhubarb Muffins are tender and fluffy one bowl muffins with a deliciously light streusel topping.
- This Caramel Bread with Cream Cheese Filling is rich, tender, and moist – almost like a cake. It’s so sweet and delicious, and it’s filled with a cream cheese and caramel filling.
- Sweet and Spicy Sticky Chicken Tenders taste like they are from a restaurant, but take just minutes to make.
- White Chocolate Blueberry Cupcakes! These are a total showstopper and a must-bake for blueberry lovers! Topped with white chocolate buttercream and fresh blueberry sauce, they’re the perfect summer cupcake!
Here’s what’s going on in my life:
- Super exciting news! As you read this, we have begun our very long drive from Arizona to Oregon. I wouldn’t want to live there full-time, but I do really look forward to spending the summers there. Our house is in central Oregon, so we don’t get the rain and we don’t have any of the craziness that is happening in downtown Portland right now. It’s just beautiful peaceful country. We kayak, bike, explore and have a lot of people who come and visit us there. Yay!
Catch up on food-related news of the week:
- New cookbook release > 50 Pies, 50 States: An Immigrant’s Love Letter to the United States Through Pie by Stacey Mei Yan Fong: From Amazon- There’s nothing quite so American as a slice of pie. That’s what Stacey Mei Yan Fong learned growing up in Singapore and Hong Kong, watching movies set in the United States and dreaming about taking a road trip from coast to coast, stopping at diners along the way. After college in Savannah and a decade as a fashion designer, Stacey turned her passion for home baking into an ode to her chosen home: honoring the people, places, and flavors that made her love this country with a pie for each state. Each pie is an impressive, whimsical tribute that encapsulates a state’s unique flavors and honors its culture.

Products I’m loving:
- I have these grilling trays and I have gifted them to a lot of people. We use them all the time for easy grilling!
- Look for the Traeger Gourmet Blend (Maple, Hickory, Cherry) Wood Pellets at Costco to use with your smoker.
- These are great grilling gloves so you don’t burn your hands. I like how they go up the arms a little bit.
- This is the grill basket that I use for grilling veggies!
- My son originally bought me this grilling spice in Texas. And now I re-stock on Amazon. It’s great on steak or chicken, but it’s also really good sprinkled on eggs.
- Look for Tomahawk Ribeye Steaks at Walmart. They have the best price on them, and you can grill them to share!
- There are a ton of cute grilling aprons here.
- If you make a lot of burgers in the summertime, try using this burger press.
- Grilling planks are awesome to use in the summer. I usually use them for fish.
