Scan Your Body, Choose Features for Perfect Hardshell Kit: Made Custom Apparel Review
I figured there was a catch. I’ve long struggled with outdoor apparel with a small waist but broad shoulders and short legs for my height. Getting enough freedom of movement in my shoulders for climbing often meant sizing up to a billowy torso. And if I didn’t size up, the jacket was often too short for my torso and arms, and the pants were too small in the thigh. Made Custom Apparel assured me that these woes would end with its brand. The MSRP, which starts at $1,000 for the set, surprised me. It equals other “stock” high-end shell systems...
‘A valet service without the valet’: Automated, vending-machine-style parking structure proposed for Dillon town core redevelopment
A novel parking structure is being proposed as part of a major redevelopment of Dillon’s town core. As part of his proposed project, Developer Jake Porritt has pitched the AUTOParkit automated parking garage, a system where a driver deposits their car in a loading bay before it is whisked off on a rail and rack system to a compact storage area. Porritt invited Shawn Adams, the vice president of sales at Dasher Lawless, which manufactures the AUTOParkit systems to the Dillon Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 21. Porritt wanted him to help educate the town on the proposed system....
The Magpie Edit: Edition 31.

I also discovered a new band (details below), listened to a fascinating podcast on creativity with music producer Rick Rubin, and tore my way through this novel, which intrigues me because it is frothy but also bears the hallmarks of truthfulness in its portraits of the inner workings of its protagonists...
My Little Pink Kitchen
I have a lot of conflicting feelings about my condo. On the plus side, I bought it! All by myself! The building it’s in burned to the ground during the Woolsey Fire, so it’s brand-new construction – which means everything works (!). Having lived in extremely ramshackle (hee) housing over the years – from our adorable-but-not-super-functional Hudson Valley house to a trailer with multi-million dollar views but no especially reliable electrical or plumbing – this is quite exciting. Sometimes I just open the closet where the water heater is kept, think back to the spricket-infested basement hellscape where the water...
