Dezeen Showroom: Etc.etc. has designed a coat stand attached to a pouf for Schönbuch as a versatile piece of furniture for hallways or bedrooms.
Tilda features an arrangement of slender black metal rods curved around the back of a plush upholstered ottoman.
The two-in-one object is not only highly functional, it offers a play of contrasts that Schönbuch describes as "intriguing".
"This object has a distinct play of opposites: horizontal and vertical, soft and solid, thick and thin," said designers Etc.etc. "It even merged two different types of furniture."
Tilda can serve as a coat rack in hallways or a valet stand in bedrooms, providing a spot where people can sit to take off their shoes or rest as well as hanging their coats.
There is also a small adjustable shelf, made of the same powder-coated stainless steel as the rack, to hold smartphones or keys.
Schönbuch also recommends the accessory for lobbies, offices and hotel rooms. The pouf can come upholstered in a range of Kvadrat or Maharam fabrics, or leather.
