You may have spent past Spring Breaks on the beach with a drink in your hand and the wind in your hair. Let’s be honest, these days it looks more like a baby bottle in your hand and spit up in your hair. Even though life looks a bit different these days, there are still some fun ways to celebrate Spring Break and the weeks beyond. You are probably sticking a little closer to home these days instead of doing big trips with your kids. Never fear; there are so many fun things going on in Raleigh and the surrounding areas that you are sure to find some family-friendly fun. Check out this fun list!

1. Egg Hunt at Spring Haven Farm:

When: April 6-April 17th

What: Goat snuggles, egg hunt, dying Easter eggs, food trucks

2. Clayton Parks & Rec Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 15, 2022 10am-11am

What: More than 10,000 eggs placed around the baseball fields for children to find. Children are split into 3 age groups. Photos with the Easter bunny. For ages 5 and under.

3. Bunny Brunch

When: April 13th, 2022 10am-11am

What: Brunch for ages 2-6. Apple juice, fruit, go-gurt, special themed donut. Crafts, storytime, photos with Easter bunny. Bring your own blanket & camera for photos. I think registration is only for the children, I don't think there is brunch for the adults.

4. Spring Fling Festival

6. Stroller Barre with Fit4Mom

When: Every Monday thru May 31st 9am-10am

What: Stroller Barre is an outdoor stroller-based workout that draws from barre, Pilates, yoga and includes silly songs and movements that keep the little ones entertained while the mamas workout. Appropriate for all fitness levels and stages of motherhood. Your first class is free.

7. Mini Movers with Babies ON THE MOVE (Virtual)

When: May 8, 2022 10am-10:45am

What: Join us for a virtual Babies on the MOVE class to learn about the importance of movement for your baby. This class will teach you how to position, carry, and play with your baby to encourage them to move. The casual and comfortable environment encourages parent and child interaction while learning from expert pediatric physical therapists in a social setting.

8. StoryWalk at Joyner Park

When: Month of April

What: The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department and Page 158 Books are partnering to offer a free program throughout April that encourages families to read while enjoying the greenways at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. StoryWalk is an innovative and interactive way for readers of all ages to enjoy a story and the outdoors at the same time.
